UFC heavyweight smashing machine Francis Ngannou had the combat sports world abuzz this past weekend (Sat., May 9, 2020) with his UFC 249 snuff film, also starring the mummified remains of Jairzinho Rozenstruick.
I guess that inspired Mike Tyson to release yet another Instagram sparring video to remind fight fans that “Iron” still hits like steel, thanks to the terrifying footage embedded above. I know he’s just peddling his latest sponsor, but still ... that shit is both fast and furious.
Tyson, 53, has been flirting with promoters in the world of bare-knuckle boxing at a time when both Evander Holyfield and Shannon Briggs — two heavyweight pugilists from the Tyson era — announced comebacks of their own.
It’s hard to say how serious any of them are at this juncture and until we see an actual contract it’s just hype. I don’t mind, considering how dull the “sweet science” has become over the last few years.
So who do you think hits harder ... Ngannou or Tyson?
