Pros react to Francis Ngannou’s 20-second knockout over Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 249

Francis Ngannou only needed 20 seconds to finish formerly undefeated heavyweight Jairzinho Rozenstruik last night (Sat., May 9, 2020) at UFC 249 live on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., as “Predator” cemented his bid for the next UFC heavyweight title shot.

Rozenstruick came in confident and quickly turned the fight into a kickboxing bout. That lasted just a moment as Ngannou rushed in and launched a heavy-handed sequence for the ages. One monstrous left hand finally clipped Rozenstruick and the new contender fell against the cage. Ngannou followed up with a few more punches before the referee squeezed his way in for the stoppage.

After witnessing Ngannou nearly decapitate Rozenstruick in mere seconds, the MMA community quickly took to Twitter to weigh in on the memorable finish. Check out some of the banter below:
