Israel Adesanya pokes fun at Jones’ DWI arrest with barrage of memes

Not every UFC champion needs to get along, which seems to be the case with promotional stars Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya.

While the two UFC titleholders have been bickering back-and-forth over the past year about how a future Octagon meeting would play out, Adesanya took their feud to new heights earlier this week after Jones was arrested for DWI (details HERE). “Last Stylebender” just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add insult to injury as the UFC light heavyweight champion suffered another career setback.

Adesanya, who is one of the most outspoken fighters on the UFC roster today, didn’t let his own words do the talking this time around. Instead, the undefeated UFC middleweight champion turned to a barrage of funny memes to bewilder Jones in his time of struggle. They can be seen below via Twitter:

Adesanya wasn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last fighter to ridicule Jones for his most recent spat with law enforcement, but this has to sting a little extra for “Bones” considering his bad blood with “Last Stylebender.” For everything that has been said between the two, Adesanya may be Jones’ second biggest rival to date behind Daniel Cormier, and the two haven’t even fought inside of the cage.

Jones has yet to respond to any of this backlash and probably won’t be hitting social media for quite some time. It’s probably for the best considering “Bones” has eaten enough of his own words this past week.
