We are just hours away from another title defense for reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, as the combat sports legend locks horns with undefeated contender Dominick Reyes later tonight (Sat., Feb. 8, 2020) at UFC 247 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
In the co-main event of the evening, undisputed UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will try to lock down her third-straight title defense when she takes on Katlyn Chookagian. The 125-pound affair is expected to serve as quite the appetizer for the main event, despite Chookagian coming into the contest as a -700 underdog.
In preparation for the “H-Town” action, the promotion has released the latest and greatest episode of UFC 247 “Embedded,” which can be seen in the above video player. This time around the action focuses on final weight cuts, ceremonial staredowns, and a last-second lineup change featuring UFC veteran James Krause.
From the official YouTube description:
On Episode 6 of UFC 247 Embedded, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones enjoys sweet notes from his daughter, a small lunch and big guns. The two title fights are official — and intense — as flyweight queen, Valentina Shevchenko faces off against Katlyn Chookagian, and Jones squares up with Dominick Reyes at the ceremonial weigh-in. Middleweight James Krause steps up on very short notice to compete on Saturday.
