The UFC machine rolls on for 2020, spitting out fire cards for next several months. UFC 248 is gonna be wild, featuring middleweight champ Israel Adesanya taking on Yoel Romero, and women’s strawweight champ Weili Zhang taking on former strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk. At UFC 247 in Texas, the UFC brought together Adesanya and Romero for a press conference to hype their upcoming fight and it did not disappoint.
You’ve got your choice of media now: the full 24 minute UFC 248 press conference:
Or a 7 minute cut of highlights at the top of the page care of ESPN.
But if you’ve only got 30 seconds, we insist you check out the dance off that broke out after the faceoff between the two middleweights.
We have to imagine bookies would have had “Stylebender” as a favorite had they known to place odds on who would win in a dancing competition, but Yoel shocked the world by showing he knows way more than just a little salsa strut. Romero did a full backflip into the splits next to a bewildered Dana White, who looked like he just wanted his headliners to make it off the stage with their ACLs and MCLs intact.
Adesanya looked ready to bust out some breakdance moves but then decided against it.
“We’ll save it, we’ll save it,” he said as he shook hands with Romero.
Adesanya vs. Romero goes down on March 7th from Las Vegas Nevada.
