Fight fans were treated to one heck of a card last night (Sat., Feb. 29, 2020) at UFC Fight Night 169 live on ESPN+ from inside Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, as the main event saw Deiveson Figueiredo smash Joseph Benavidez via second-round TKO (highlights HERE), although the UFC flyweight title still remains vacant.
In addition to Figueiredo’s headlining act, women’s featherweight contender Felicia Spencer earned a dominant first-round TKO stoppage over Zarah Fairn in the co-main event of the evening. Fight fans also got to see a highly-controversial KO stoppage between Magomed Ankalaev and Ion Cutelaba, a magnificent one-punch finish by Megan Anderson, an unorthodox guillotine finish by Jordan Griffin, and a highly-competitive bantamweight war between prospects Kyler Phillips and Gabriel Silva.
