The scariest puncher in combat sports, Deontay Wilder, once again meets the Lineal Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, TONIGHT (Sat., Feb. 22, 2020) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the dynamic duo attempt to settle their score once and for all.
Both men are 2-0 since their last meeting, which saw Fury survive two knockdowns but ultimately settle for a split draw. Fury demolished unheralded German Tom Schwarz in his ESPN debut, then survived a gruesome cut (see it) to hand promising Swede Otto Wallin his first defeat soon after. Wilder took less than three minutes to dispatch mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale before plunking rival Luis Ortiz with the 2019 “Knockout of the Year.”
The pair reportedly already have a third meeting booked.
Elsewhere on the card, former IBF Heavyweight Champion Charles Martin faces Gerald Washington in a fight whose winner could become a challenger for Anthony Joshua. In addition, Emanuel Navarrete defends his Super Bantamweight title against fellow slugger Jeo Santisima and towering Super Welterweight prospect Sebastian Fundora looks to turn aside former Olympian Daniel Lewis.
