UFC 256 has lost another fight after Karl Roberson tested positive for COVID-19. According to MMA Fighting, his scheduled bout against Dalcha Lungiambula — which was set to go down during the pay-per-view (PPV) event this weekend (Sat., Dec. 12, 2020) — will now take place at UFC Vegas 17 on Dec. 19, 2020.

Roberson is looking to get back on track after his two-fight win streak was snapped over the summer by Marvin Vettori, who picked up a huge win at UFC Vegas 16 over Jack Hermansson this past weekend.

Lungiambula, meanwhile, is also looking to return to the winner’s podium after he had his six-fight mixed martial arts (MMA) win streak snapped in his sophomore UFC fight by Magomed Ankalaev more than one year ago.

Earlier today, it was reported that Angela Hill had also tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the promotion to cancel her scheduled bout against Tecia Torres. That fight currently doesn’t have a target date for rebooking. UFC Vegas 17, on the other hand, recently had Gillian Robertson vs. Taila Santos and Cody Durden vs. Jimmy Flick added to its stacked slate.

UFC 256 features a Flyweight title fight as division kingpin, Deiveson Figueiredo, will defend his title for the second time in three weeks when he takes on Brandon Moreno.
