One of boxing’s best, Canelo Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KO), recorded another career accomplishment last night (Sat., Dec. 19, 2020) live on DAZN from inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, defeating Callum Smith (27-0, 19 KO) via unanimous decision to become the new WBA (Super) and WBC super-middleweight champion.

Alvarez dominated this fight from the opening bell. Despite Smith being the longer fighter, Alvarez was able to do a lot of damage inside. He added an arsenal of jabs and uppercuts that put Smith on his heels minute by minute. It was quite the clinic, especially considering the pressure of performing in front of 15,000 returning fans.
