After spending nearly three years competing in the UFC welterweight division, former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is dropping back down to 155 pounds to battle No. 12-ranked Islam Makhachev in the UFC Vegas 14 main event, locked and loaded for Sat., Nov. 14, 2020 inside APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now they have an official poster.
It’s been a rough couple of years for the 36 year-old Dos Anjos (29-13), who looked to be an immediate contender at 170 pounds after jumping out to three straight wins. Unfortunately, the Brazilian veteran has since dropped four of his last five.
As for Makhachev (18-1), he’s looked nothing short of unstoppable after getting finished at UFC 192 back in late 2015. The 29 year-old Dagestani is the winner of six straight, having most recently put the screws to Davi Ramos at UFC 242 in Sept. 2019.
