Hard-hitting Welterweight contender, Kalinn Williams, is ready to mount a quick turnaround following his 30-second knockout over Abdul Razak Alhassan at UFC Vegas 14 a little more than one week ago (see it), colliding with Michel Pereira at the upcoming UFC Vegas 17 event on Dec. 19, 2020.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto announced the booking over the weekend, which will be Williams’ biggest test to date. In his first two bouts inside the Octagon, “Khaos” has only been able to compete for 57 seconds, as his Octagon debut saw him throttle Alex Morono in just 27 seconds before following it up with another lightning-quick finish over Alhassan.
Pereira, meanwhile, broke his two-fight skid by defeating Zelim Imadaev back in September. UFC’s wild man had recently dropped consecutive bouts to Diego Sanchez and Tristan Connelly. The always-energetic and over-the-top combatant is sure to give “Khaos” all he can handle as he hopes to stop his momentum.
The bout further bolsters UFC Vegas 17 — the promotion’s year-end event — which is set to be headlined by a Welterweight bout between Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards. In further action, Stephen Thompson will face Geoff Neal, while Jose Aldo tangos with Marlon Vera. If that weren’t enough, Marlon Moraes will face Rob Font, while Belal Muhammad takes on Dhiego Lima.
