UFC 255 live stream results, play-by-play updates for ‘Figueiredo vs Perez’

Ultimate F ighting Championship (UFC) recently put the finishing touches on its upcoming UFC 255 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place TONIGHT (Sat., Nov. 21, 2020) by way of ESPN+ from inside its APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining duties will be handled by flyweight rivals Deiveson Figueiredo and Alex Perez, who battle for “Daico’s” 125-pound belt. In the UFC 255 co-main event, reigning women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko defends her strap against Brazilian bruiser Jennifer Maia. will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 255 fight card below, starting with the ESPN+/ESPN2 “Prelims” undercard bouts at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by the ESPN+ PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET.

Round 1: Figueiredo already switching stance. Body kick attempt. Perez tries a flurry. Another Figueiredo body kick. Perez lands a right hand, takes a body shot not long after. One minute in. Perez doubles up his kicks. He shoots under a right hand. Figueiredo grabs the fence to avoid the initial takedowns, then transitions to a flying scissor. Perez gets his leg out, only to find himself caught in an arm-in guillotine during the scramble. Figueiredo puts on the squeeze and draws the tap.

125 lbs.: UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jennifer Maia

Round 1: Shevchenko hits a headlock throw 30 seconds into the fight. Chipping away from guard. One minute in. continuing to work form there. Two minutes in. Elbow lands for Shevchenko. Two minutes to go.

More of the same. One minute to go. It continues. 10-9 Shevchenko.

Round 2: Shevchenko tries to spin, drags Maia down from the clinch again. Maia sweeps to her feet and puts her against the fence. Short knees. One minute in. Shevchenko lands a knee to the head as she tries to separate. Two minutes in. Maia continues to grind, counters a takedown into guard. Lands right hands as Shevchenko tries to stand. Two minutes to go.

Maia grinding away from half guard. Shevchenko tries to use the cage to sweep, cannot do so. One minute to go. Shevchenko brings her guard high but can’t find the submission. 10-9 Maia.

Round 3: Good 1-2 from Shevchenko. Moving well early in the round. Big left connects above the guard. Jab through the guard. Shevchenko tries a body kick. She ties up, gets pressed against the fence a minute in. Short knees by Maia. They separate. Shevchenko tries a head kick, lands a 1-2. Two minutes in. Round 5: Stiff jabs from Shevchenko. She spins and Maia puts her on the fence. Shevchenko reverses, exits with an elbow. Hard body kick. Straight left met by a Maia right hand. One minute in. Spinning back kick lands for Shevchenko. Maia puts her on the fence once again. Shevchenko with some short swats as she defends. Maia tries an arm spin takedown, can’t get it, back to the fence. Two minutes in. Maia exits with an uppercut. Lead left from Shevchenko. Wheel kick falls short. Two minutes to go.

Maia marches into the clinch and hauls her to the fence once again. Shevchenko spins her around and exits with an elbow. Body kick and overhand left. One minute to go. Front kick downstairs. They trade in the center. More exchanging. Right hand lands for Maia, who takes a spinning back kick and straight left. Maia ties up before the bell. 10-9 Shevchenko.

170 lbs.: Mike Perry vs. Tim Means

Round 1: Early exchange in the center. Straight left lands for Means. Jabs. Perry presses forward and changes levels. He completes the takedown into guard. He briefly passes to half guard a minute in. Means gives up his back and Perry puts both hooks in. Two minutes in. Hunting for the RNC. It’s on the chin but it’s tight. Means spins into guard with two minutes to go.

Short elbow lands for him before Perry stands and separates. Means looking to potshot near the fence, slowly advancing. Clinch knee to the body. One minute to go. Perry digs a hard right to the body. Left from Means in return. Perry with a wound-up right hook. Means lets loose a combo and body kick in return. Low kick and jab. Trading in the center. 10-9 Perry.

Round 2: Means back on the advance, sending out jabs. Straight left, more jabs. Perry leg kick, eats more 1s and 2s. Perry shoots, eats knees, denied. Perry tries a head kick and is met with a straight left. One minute in. Oblique kick and jab from Means. Front kick downstairs. Perry looking flat-footed as Means chips away from range. Round 3: Low kicks from Means. Perry shoots in against the fence. He tries to take the back, cannot do so. Means turns to face him, separates with a clean right hand. 2-3. One minute in. Low-high 2-1. Hard counter left. Perry trying to press forward, getting caught coming in. Now he lands near the fence. Perry right hand, Means body shot. Two minutes in. Left hand catches Perry coming in. They trade hard shots in the center. Both landing their power hands. Trading heat. Perry lands a big right hand, Means comes back with just as much heat. Big lefts by Means. He shoots, takes him to the fence. Hard 1-2 with two minutes to go.

Round 1: Chookagian on the advance, takes a counter left. Calvillo tries a hook kick and spin. Calvillo lands a left hand, catches a kick for a takedown but can’t keep her down. one mintue in. Chookagian to the body. Calvillo shoots from too far out, denied. Chookagian potshotting at range. Two minutes in. Body punches. Sharp jab. Calvillo shoots, sprawled on. Coutner right lands for her. Two minutes to go.

Combination from Calvillo, eats a teep in return. They trade in the center. Calvillo lands as she eats a jab. Body shot with a minute to go. Good left hook lands for Calvillo. They trade right hands. Chookagian with a front kick downstairs. She backs away from a combo. 10-9 Chookagian.

Round 2: Calvillo tries a side kick. Next two land. Feinted level change. Chookagian still looking for long shots. They trade left hands a minute in. Round 3: Calvillo continually falling short with her punches. Brief clinch. Calvillo 1-2 to the body. More Chookagian jabs. Body kick connects for Calvillo a minute in. Chookagian continues to control the range, picking away from outside Calvillo’s range. Nice sidestep. Two minutes in. Clean 1-2 from Chookagian. Right cross to uppercut. Calvillo body kick. Two minutes to go.

Calvillo reaches her with a left hand, lands a low kick. Chookagian catches a kick, doesn’t follow her down. She tries a jump-in knee, uses a whizzer to deny a takedown. One minute to go. Calvillo tries to tie up, can’t do so for long. Both fall short with 1-2s. Glancing left by Calvillo, good 1-2. Chookagian lands a jab and lead right. They trade in the center. 10-9 Chookagian.

205 lbs.: Mauricio Rua vs. Paul Craig

Round 1: Craig sending out kicks to start. Rua looking to kick with him, flurry appears to land. One minute in. Nice double-leg from Craig into half guard. Craig looks for a d’arce, lands knees on Rua as the Brazilian stands. Now switching to an anaconda. He falls back for it, then uses it to sweep. Rua makes it to his feet, eating punches as he does. Craig shoots again and dumps him down against the fence with two minutes to go.

One hook in for Craig, hunting the RNC. Rua manages to turn into him and set up in half guard. Deep half guard for Craig. One minute to go. Rua avoids a sweep, lands a couple good shots. 10-9 Craig.

Round 2: Craig goes back to picking at Rua’s legs. Left hook lands for Rua against the fence. Jabs from Craig. One minute in. More kicks from Craig. Right cross from Rua, then an overhand. Craig ducks the next overhand and shoots. Now looking for the back, both hooks in two minutes in. Rua turns into top position, avoids a bulldog choke, eats shots on the way up. Craig shoots back in. He runs the pipe for a single-leg with two minutes to go.

Left hands from Craig as he takes the back. He flattens Rua out and pounds until Rua taps to strikes.

125 lbs.: Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval

Round 1: Royval tries a high kick. Big flurry by Moreno. Body kick from Royval. Good leg kick and step-in knee. Both land left hands and Moreno takes him down into half guard, avoiding a guillotine. One minute in. Royval regains guard and kicks him away. Stiff jab by Moreno, eats a right hand. They trade leg kicks. They trade in the center. Counter left book by Moreno, avoids a knee. 185 lbs.: Joaquin Buckley vs. Jordan Wright

Round 1: Early clinch against the fence. Wright looking for counters. Buckley puts him on the fence, digs away with punches. One minute in. He changes levels, can’t complete it. They separate. Big swings from Buckley. Wright counter right, Buckley left hook. Buckley tries a head kick, hauls him to the fence. Two minutes in. Knees from Wright as he defends. Buckley with some hooks on the break. Two minutes to go.

Wright tries a body kick and head kick. Buckley knocks him back with a straight left. Both land hard lefts, flurry by Buckley. One minute to go. Wright lands a knee to the body, avoids a flurry. Buckley continues to press forward, hurts him with a flurry against the fence. Right hand drops Wright, who shoots in to survive. 10-9 Buckley.

Round 2: Buckley storms right after Wright, tearing into him with hooks until he hits the deck once again.

125 lbs.: Ariane Lipski vs. Antonina Shevchenko

Round 1: Trading low kicks to start. Both land their power hands. Big rush by Lipski. Shevchenko puts her on the fence, looks for knees. One minute in. Both throwing knees. Uchi mata attempt, tries a knee on the way up. Lipski reverses, gets reversed in turn. More Shevchenko knees and a head-and-arm throw. Lipski trying to take her back from there. Two minutes to go.

Lipski pops her head out and looks for the RNC, but gets swept into half guard. Shevchenko landing short shots. One minute to go. Lipski stuck on a knee. 10-9 Shevchenko.

Round 2: Left hook lands for Lipski as they trade. Shevchenko tries a spinning back fist, eats a heavy right hand. She grabs the Thai plum and takes her down into north-south. Lipski gets an underhook, stuck in half guard. One minute in. Looking for deep half guard. Shevchenko landing shots, passes to side control. Two minutes in. More left hands from Shevchenko, who tries to jump onto Lipski’s back. Hammerfists and punches from turtle. Lipski tries to roll, unable to. Two minutes to go.

Back to side control. Elbows. One minute to go. She gets to quarter mount, then starts pounding as Lipski tries to roll. In comes the ref.

170 lbs.: Nicolas Dalby vs. Daniel Rodriguez

Round 1: Dalby opens with low kicks. Body shots from Rodriguez in return. More kicks from Dalby, changing up the height. One minute in. Rodriguez lands a low kick of his own. Heavy 1-2 rattles Rodriguez, another leg kick that seems to bother him as well. Dalby head kick just misses. Two minutes in. Rodriguez with a hard left hand. Dalby still giving him tons of trouble with his kicks. Rodriguez digs a body shot. Two minutes to go.

Rodriguez three-piece blocked. Left from Dalby as they exchange. Rodriguez catches a kick, lands a body shot. One minute to go. Not quite as much kick activity from Dalby these last couple minutes. There’s a near-miss head kick and a heavy leg kick. Rodriguez looks to open up against the fence, then catches Dalby stepping in. Dalby trading with him with his back on the fence. Good left hands from D-Rod. 10-9 Dalby.

Round 2: Rodriguez showing some more pressure to start the round. Forcing Dalby to the fence. He shoots. One minute in. Knees against the fence. Dalby forces him away and they trade rights. Now Dalby shoots and hauls him to the fence. Back to the center two minutes in. Kicks from Dalby, body shot from Rodriguez. Dalby head kick falls just short. He shoots, denied. Two minutes to go.

170 lbs.: Jared Gooden vs. Alan Jouban

Round 1: Gooden on the front foot to start. Jouban looking to counter. Body kick from Jouban, eats a knee inside. Both land good right hands, elbow on the break by Jouban. One minute in. Counters land for Jouban as Gooden steps in. They trade in the center. Body kicks. Both land good right hands once again. Jouban straight left, combination, body kick. Two minutes in. Gooden shakes off a straight left. A punch seems to sting Jouban, who initially claims a headbutt. Head kick by Jouban, then a body kick. Big straight left and he forces Gooden to the fence, looking for elbows. Two minutes to go.

Gooden keeps walking into a check right hook. 1-2 from Gooden. Big Jouban body kick. Combination connects. He tries to blitz on the fence as Gooden slips, gets clinched for a moment. One minute to go. Another Jouban body kick, head kick attempt behind it. good right form Gooden in an exchange. Counter left catches Gooden coming in, then a knee on the break. 185 lbs.: Kyle Daukaus vs. Dustin Stoltzfus

Round 1: Low kick from Stoltzfus to start, eats a hart left hand in return and gets taken to the fence. One minute in. Stoltzfus defending so far. Nice balance to deny a lift. Two minutes in. He reverses, looks for his own single-leg. Daukaus finally gets him down halfway through the round. Sharp elbow, good right hand. Two minutes to go.

Trading hammerfists. Good elbows by Daukaus. Stoltzfus regains guard. Daukaus lands hammerfists, avoids an armbar. One minute to go. Stoltzfus tries to roll, goes for a leg. Now looking for a calf slicer, uses it to sweep. 10-9 Daukaus.

Round 2: Stoltzfus switches to southpaw, looks for overhand lefts. Daukaus looks for a combination against the fence, ends up landing a kick to the jewels. Straight left behind a head kick when they resume. Counter left. One minute in. Stoltzfus takes him to the fence, gets reversed. Elbow from Daukaus, short body shots. Two hard lefts on the exit. Stoltzfus shoots, denied, lands short knees in the clinch. Daukaus changes levels, can’t get it two minutes in. Stoltzfus reverses. Daukaus reverses in turn, looks for an outside trip. Round 3: Stoltzfus with some decent shots in the first few seconds. Daukaus comes back with a lengthy combo that prompts a shot. He reverses on the fence, chips away to the body. One minute in. He gets a bit of space, lands solid shots until Stoltzfus shoots again, looking for a single-leg. Daukaus defends, blasts him with hard punches that prompt Stoltzfus to roll for a leglock. Daukaus gets his leg free and lands some nasty punches before separating. Two minutes to go.

Daukaus in total control at the moment. He takes Stoltzfus to the fence. More good punches as he forces Stoltzfus to his knees. Stoltzfus stands with a minute to go. More hard punches by Daukaus, shrugging off the return fire. Stoltzfus shoots, caught in an anaconda choke. Daukaus drops it and lets him stand. 10-8 Daukaus.

170 lbs.: Louis Cosce vs. Sasha Palatnikov

Round 1: Low kick from Cosce and Palatnikov briefly ties up. Palatnikov flying knee attempt. He catches Cosce lunging in for a double-leg, tries to open up as Cosce stands against the fence. Cosce catches a kick, lands a right hand, grabs turtle position when Paalatnikov tries a granby roll. Cosce blasts him with punches, then blitzes when he gets to his feet. Big shots and a right hand drops Palatnikov. Palatnikov manages to survive, stand, and swing back before taking him to the fence. Two minutes in. Two-piece by Cosce. Hard counters by Palatnikov landing. Cosce 1-2, Palatnikov elbow. He puts Cosce on the fence. Huge elbow. Two minutes to go.

Cosce reverses and separates. He’s looking spent. He tries to shoot off a Palatnikov flying knee, denied. Hard lefts by Palatnikov, beating him against the fence. Back to trading punches. Hard 1-2 by Cosce with a minute to go, knees. Palatnikov puts him on the fence, hurls nasty elbows. Cosce counter right, caught by a spinning back fist, tries to shoot at the bell. 10-9 Palatnikov.

Round 2: Cosce opens with a double-leg, eats hard shots as he’s sprawled on. He’s completely gassed. Palatnikov lands a straight left as he eats a leg kick. Good left hook. Palatnikov takes him to the fence once again. Short knees. He tries a spinning elbow, then a jump knee. 10-9 Palatnikov.

Round 3: Cosce shoots in the opening seconds. Palatnikov grabs the fence twice to deny the takedown, then continues to do so. The referee gives him a hard warning. Cosce with a front kick when they resume, then shoots and gets denied. Palatnikov denies another shot. Good left hand a minute in. Cosce landing jabs. Big right cross. Palatnikov puts him on the fence and they trade knees to the body. Nice spinning back kick. Cosce shoots once again, can’t complete it on the fence. Two minutes to go. Palatnikov takes a knee to the balls. Pressing forward after they resume. Snapping out jabs, huge right cross. He tries to open up on the fence, denies a shot, keeps hitting. Cosce turtles up and there’s the finish.
