UFC Vegas 14 injuries, medical suspensions: Paul Felder facing possible six-month sit with elbow injury

UFC Vegas 14 injuries and medical suspensions for the athletes who competed at the “Felder vs. dos Anjos”-led event this past weekend (Sat., Nov. 14, 2020) from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, have been obtained by The Underground.

Leading the way in mandatory sits are Alex Morono and Roque Martinez, who could be riding the pine for up to six months following injuries sustained during their bouts against Rhys McKee and Don’Tale Mayes, respectively. In addition, Paul Felder could face a similar medical suspension depending on what upcoming medical tests show on his right elbow. “Irish Dragon” came up short against Rafael dos Anjos, losing a split decision in the main event of the evening (highlights).

• Kanako Murata suspended until 12/06/20; no contact until 11/29/20 (hard fight).
• Randa Markos suspended until 01/14/21; no contact until 12/30/20.
• Tony Gravely suspended until 12/15/20; no contact until 12/06/20 (hard fight).
• Geraldo De Freitas suspended until 12/15/20; no contact until 12/06/20.
• Morono must have MRI of right knee, if positive must have orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until 05/14/21; minimum suspension no contest until 12/15/20, no contact until 12/06/20.
• Rhys McKee suspended until 12/30/20; no contact until 12/15/20 (hard fight).
• Mayes suspended until 12/15/20; no contest until 12/06/20.
• Martinez must have MRI of left knee, if positive must have orthopedic or sports medicine doctor clearance or no contest until 05/14/21; minimum suspension no contest until 12/15/20, no contact until 12/06/20.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
