UFC Vegas 14 results: Matches to make for ‘Felder vs dos Anjos’ main card winners

UFC Vegas 14 went down last night (Sat., Nov. 14, 2020) in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring a Lightweight scrap that saw Rafael dos Anjos defeat Paul Felder vis split decision (highlights). In the co-headlining act, Khaos Williams knocked Abdul Razak Hassan in just a half-minute (see it here).

Winner: Rafael dos Anjos
Who He Should Face Next: Islam Makhachev

“RDA” picked up a much-needed win, defeating Felder via split decision after dropping two in a row at Welterweight. After two canceled attempts to book a fight between dos Anjos and Makhachev, UFC matchmakers should try it one more time. I really want to see this fight and the fans deserve it after having it dangled in front of us like a carrot only for it to be taken away due to unfortunate circumstances. If the promotion doesn’t want to roll the dice again, then perhaps a match up against Gregor Gillespie is in order. The wrestling powerhouse hasn’t competed since getting knocked out by Kevin Lee more than one year ago, so he should be nearing a return. While dos Anjos wants to settle his unfinished business with Conor McGregor, I really don’t see the promotion going for that at the moment, even though “Notorious” is open to it.

Winner: Khaos Williams
Who He Should Face Next: Niko Price

Williams is quickly starting to make a name for himself, already a star on the rise in the Welterweight division. As he progresses, naturally the fights will only get tougher. Up next for Williams, I’d love to see a fight between he and Price. Niko is coming off a tough fight against Donald Cerrone several months ago, which ended up in a draw. After the fight, Price was temporarily suspended after failing a post-fight drug test. When he comes back to action, a showdown against Williams seems like a fun scrap to make.

Winner: Ashley Yoder
Who She Should Fight Next: Amanda Lemos

Yoder snapped her two-fight losing streak, defeating Miranda Granger after 15 minutes of action. A fight against Lemos seems appropriate for Yoder next. Lemos is currently on a two-fight win streak, bringing her record to 8-1-1 (2-1 UFC). Both women are pretty far off from claiming a spot in the Top 15, so right now taking any fight that comes their way will help the cause.

Winner: Sean Strickland
Who He Should Fight Next: David Zawada

Strickland picked up a huge win after defeating Brendan Allen, giving him his third win in a row. Zawada, meanwhile, is coming off a big win over Abubakar Nurmagomedov, which went down one year ago. He was set to face Mounir Lazzez last month, but after Lazzez tested positive for COVID-19, he was forced to bow out. Both men are currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the Top 15 in a stacked Middleweight division, but a win for either man inches them closer to breaking through.

Winner: Cory McKenna
Who She Should Fight Next: Loma Lookboonmee

McKenna made good on her Octagon debut, taking out fellow 21-year-old combatant, Kay Hansen, via unanimous decision. With the win, “The Hobbit” moves to 6-1, winning her last four. For her sophomore effort, a fight against Lookboonmee seems fitting since she also earned a big win recently. Indeed, Loma defeated Jinh Yu Frey last month at UFC Fight Island 4. Both women are seven fights deep into their professional mixed martial arts (MMA) careers, so one doesn’t have the experience advantage over the other.
