Bantamweight newcomer Adrian Yanez looked like a bona fide contender earlier tonight (Sat., Oct. 31, 2020) at UFC Vegas 12 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, when the former Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) standout ended Victor Rodriguez via first-round knockout (punches and head kick).
You wouldn’t have known this was Yanez’s UFC debut as the youngster dominated from the opening bell, looking like true veteran inside of the cage. Yanez was able to land crisp right hands, combinations when he wanted to, and never let Rodriguez get his own offense off. It led to Yanez hurting his bantamweight counterpart along the cage and landing a massive head kick that abruptly ended the fight.

With this performance, Yanez wins his fifth-straight fight and earns his fourth TKO stoppage during that span. The 26-year-old prospect looked incredible in his UFC debut and could quickly work his way towards the bantamweight top 15 if he can do this one more time.
