UFC 254 goes down this weekend (Sat., Oct. 24, 2020) and is one of the biggest (if not biggest) card of the year for the surging fight promotion. And while promotional opportunities have been limited somewhat because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, UFC has gone out of its way to put as many people surrounding the event in front of press.
Tuesday featured a UFC 254 media day with co-main event fighters Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier. Wednesday a press conference with headliners Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. And this Thursday at 5 a.m. ET the promotion staged a second media day with some of the coaching staffs.
Join us here bright and early as we get to hear from Justin Gaethje’s head coach, Trevor Wittman, who has been instrumental in changing “The Highlight” from a wild brawler unafraid of damage into the calculated killer with high output but better fight IQ. And Khabib Nurmagomedov’s head coach, Javier Mendez, will also be answering questions on Khabib’s training camp and their preparations for this latest Lightweight title defense.
Also making appearances: Commentators Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik, as well as fighter-turned analyst Michael Chiesa.
Don’t forget, MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 254 fight card right here, starting with the early ESPN+ “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN 2/ESPN+ at 12 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
