A highly-anticipated Lightweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Islam Makhachev has been rebooked to go down at an upcoming UFC “Fight Night”-themed event in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 14, 2020.
The two talented 155-pounder contenders were set to fight this Saturday (Oct. 24, 2020) at UFC 254 on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi before “RDA” was forced out of the event after he tested positive for COVID-19. With the promotion unable to find someone on short notice to face Makhachev, he was removed from the card altogether.
No fret, Makhachev and dos Anjos will get a chance to get paid as they get it on in “Sin City” in a few short weeks. No word yet on whether or not this fight will headline the card, which currently does not have an official main event.
As it stands, other notable fights booked for the event are Louis Smolka battling Jose Alberto Quinonez, Cory McKenna versus Kay Hansen and Gabriel Benitez taking on Justin Jaynes.
