UFC Fight Island 5 injuries and medical suspensions for the athletes who competed at the “Moraes vs Sandhagen”-led event this past weekend (Sat., Oct. 10, 2020) from inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, have been obtained by MMA.tv.
Leading the way in mandatory sits is Cory Sandhagen, who knocked out Marlon Moraes in the main event of the evening with a spinning wheel kick (see it again here). Before “Sandman” gets to mount his return, he first has to be cleared by an ophthalmologist or be forced to ride the pine for six months after suffering an eye injury during the fight.
Also, Tom Breese was hit with an extended sit after suffering damage to his knee during his knockout win over K.B. Bhullar.
Here is the complete list of injuries and suspensions (via MMA Fighting):

- Tagir Ulanbekov: 7 days mandatory rest

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
