Video: Conor McGregor’s UFC 246 afterparty was lit

Conor McGregor may have abstained from hard partying and drinking in the lead-up to his comeback fight against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, but that sacrifice went out the window after “Notorious” finished “Cowboy” in just 40 seconds last Saturday night (Jan. 18, 2020) in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch highlights). McGregor was spotted at Encore Beach Club in “Sin City” living it up and showing off his best moves on the dance floor shortly after his win — his first in mixed martial arts (MMA) in three years.

And while no drinks were spotted in the video obtained by TMZ Sports, it’s safe to assume that some Proper 12 whiskey made its way into his system at some point in the night, much like it did at the post-fight presser (video).

The celebration could be short lived — “Notorious” claimed that he intends to stay on the straight and narrow this fight “season” so he can make a quick turnaround. In fact, UFC President Dana White has already proclaimed him to be the No. 1 contender for the Lightweight title, but there are other options available if McGregor wants to commit to one sooner, rather than later.

Chief among them is a showdown against Justin Gaethje — read why here — as well as another bout at Welterweight against Jorge Masvidal. “Gamebred” wants it, and we know “The Highlight” does too, all there is left to do is for UFC to come up with the best numbers and arguments to convince McGregor to take one of those fights instead of hoping for someone to pull out of UFC 249’s main event this April.
