Viacom and CBS recently merged, making them ViacomCBS, which I thought was a missed opportunity, simply because CBS had that eyeball logo so they could have very easily become Eye-acom, but whatever.

There has been a signifiant amount of restructuring under the new deal, which trickled down to Bellator MMA, so now Scott Coker and Co. will report to Stephen Espinoza, according to Variety, who is also charged with handling the direction of Showtime boxing.

If that name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you recognize Espinoza as the “weasel” who shook Conor McGregor in the wake of his Floyd Mayweather loss back in summer 2017, while simultaneously infuriating UFC President, Dana White.

Bellator MMA skips the Paramount Network and returns to DAZN for Bellator 238: “Budd vs. Cyborg” on Jan. 25 inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., featuring the promotion debut of former UFC featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg.
