Bellator 234: “Kharitonov vs. Vassell” comes to Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, Israel on Thurs., Nov. 14, 2019. The event will air in the United States on Paramount Network and DAZN via tape delay on Friday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. ET. For a card that’s a long time from now, there’s a surprising amount of fights already booked for the show.

Leading the charge in the scheduled main event are Heavyweight fighters Sergei Kharitonov (30-7, 2 NC) and Linton Vassell (19-8, 1 NC). Kharitonov hasn’t lost a fight since 2016, racking up six wins and two “No Contests” in the process. He successfully avenged one of those fights, knocking out Matt Mitrione at Bellator 225.

Vassell has seen his career go in precisely the opposite direction. After back-to-back defeats at Light Heavyweight, the tall and lanky fighter made a natural move to a more suitable weight class and promptly lost his third straight fight to Valentin Moldavsky. He’ll need to resurrect his career against Kharitonov to avoid a fourth straight defeat.

In addition, long-time veteran “El Matador” Roger Huerta (24-11-1, 1 NC) will face Sidney Outlaw (13-3) at Lightweight. The streaking “Mr. Paige Van Zant” Austin Vanderford (8-0) will be challenged by Grachik Bozinyan (10-3) at Middleweight. In a women’s Featherweight clash, “Big Bad” Olga Rubin (6-1) faces down Sinead Kavanagh (5-4). Father and son duo Haim and Aviv Gozali will also take fights, with their opponents to be determined later.
