Bellator 229: “Koreshkov vs. Larkin” takes place at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., on Fri., Oct. 4, 2019. The show will simulcast live on DAZN and Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET, with “Prelims” undercard bouts to air at a time to be determined via DAZN, Bellator.com and the Bellator mobile app.
As you’d probably expect from the title, “Spartan” Andrey Koreshkov (22-3) and “Da Monsoon” Lorenz Larkin (20-7, 1 NC) will headline the Temecula card. Koreshkov recently returned to his winning ways in the exact same venue at Bellator 219 in a three round decision over late replacement Michael Jasper.
Of course, the reason Jasper was a replacement is because Koreshkov was supposed to fight Larkin, but an injury early in Larkin’s training camp proved insurmountable and forced him to withdraw. One can only hope he’ll take a more cautious approach this time around as both men are given a second chance to headline.
At this early date no other bouts have been announced for the card.
