Knockout! Watch Steven Peterson starch Martin Bravo with spinning backfist at UFC Mexico City

Steven Peterson made the most out of his main card bid earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 21, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 159 live on ESPN+ from inside Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, when he leveled featherweight counterpart Martin Bravo via second-round knockout (spinning backfist).

After a back-and-forth first round that offered a little bit of everything, the two featherweights started to throw heavy leather on the feet in the second. During an exchange in close Bravo threw a nice spinning backfist that nearly landed. However, Peterson was there to quickly counter and score his own spinning backfist that instantly put the Mexican-fighter down for the count.

With this performance, Peterson gets back into the 145-pound win column after dropping back-to-back decision to Alex Caceres and Luis Pena. The 29-year-old California native has shown glimpses of potential in the jam-packed featherweight division and this is yet another instance in which “Ocho” sticks out among the pack.
