Only in New York can you get away with a “Bad Mother Fucker” fight as your five-round main event, which is why UFC President Dana White told Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington to pound sand in favor of Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz, a fan-friendly showdown between East and West coast “gangsters” on Nov. 2 inside Madison Square Garden.
Wanna see it live and in person? Of course you do.
That’s going to require a ticket, but no worries fight fans, as UFC 244 seats go on sale to the general public this Friday (Sept. 20) at 10 a.m. ET though Ticketmaster. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per bot person.
Members of UFC Fight Club (join here), as well as subscribers to the UFC Newsletter (sign up through UFC.com), can grab their seats tomorrow (Weds., Sept. 18) and Thursday (Sept. 19) at 10 a.m. ET, courtesy of special ticket pre-sales for (cough) “insiders.”
In addition to the 170-pound collision between Masvidal and Diaz, former middleweight title contender, Kelvin Gastelum, will welcome ex-welterweight bruiser, Darren Till, to the 185-pound division. Fan favorites Derrick Lewis and Johnny Walker are also in action.
Remember that MMAmania.com will deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the entire UFC 244 fight card this weekend RIGHT HERE, starting with the Fight Pass/ESPN+ “Prelims” matches online, which are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET, then the remaining undercard balance on ESPN 2 at 8 p.m. ET, before the PPV main card start time at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
