UFC Copenhagen poster drops for ‘Hermansson vs Cannonier’ on Sept. 28

New, 2 comments

Jack Hermansson will look to keep his momentum going by scoring his fifth straight win when he faces surging Middleweight, Jared Cannonier, in the main event of the upcoming UFC on ESPN+ 18 (UFC Fight Night 160) main event, scheduled for Sat., Sept. 28, 2019 inside Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

And now, UFC has released the poster for the UFC on ESPN+-streamed event.

Hermansson (20-4) has been on a roll as of late, scoring huge wins over David Branch and Jacare Souza, among others, to earn a top five ranking at 185 pounds. During his time inside the Octagon, “The Joker” has collected an impressive record of 7-2 and is inching himself closer to title consideration.

Cannonier, meanwhile, has won two in a row, defeating David Branch and most recently took out Anderson Silva after “The Spider” suffered a leg injury during their fight at UFC 237 (see it again here). Jared has stated that he has had trouble locking down an opponent, but Hermansson was more than happy to fill up his dance card.

The victor here should take a huge leap in the rankings and put them closer to the front of the championship fight race. In the co-main event, Thiago Alves will face off against Gunnar Nelson in Welterweight action.
