Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White did say there are two sides to every story and looks like he may be right when it comes to Jon Jones’ alleged strip club incident.
Jones, who currently serves as UFC’s light heavyweight champion, landed in more hot water earlier this week when news surfaced he was charged for alleged battery dating back to an incident at a strip club back in April. Jones was accused of putting a waitress in a choke hold and touching her inappropriately.
While the details are still being determined at this time, White is one of just a few people who have seen the video footage of the strip club incident. The UFC president didn’t give too much insight, but it sounds like Jones will have a good chance at beating the case.
“Some of the videos are coming back. I’ve seen some videos,” White told TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter. “I don’t want to talk about it, because I don’t want to hurt his case or whatever. But it’s unfortunate, when you’re famous, these type of things happen to you.”
“From what I’ve seen so far, when it all surfaces and comes to the top, how should I word this…It looks good for Jon,” continued White. “It looks very, very good for Jon, actually. It’s quite sad actually.”
Jones, 32, has experienced his fair share of trouble outside of the Octagon, but has done his best over the past year to put all of that behind and resume his legendary UFC career. Assuming White’s depiction of the video footage is accurate and Jones is able to clear his name, expect “Bones” to make his return sometime around November.
