Gavin Tucker became the second Canadian to grab a finish earlier tonight (Sat., July 27, 2019) at UFC 240 from inside Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, when he stopped South Korean prospect Seung Woo Choi via third-round submission (rear-naked choke).
Tucker and Choi went back-and-forth from the opening bell. Choi posed many problems with his length but the smaller Tucker was able to get inside with combinations and takedowns. Tucker really started to take control in the third round when he was able to grab a hold of Choi’s back, flatten him out, and lock in the rear-naked choke finish.

With this performance, Tucker gets back into the win column after losing his last fight to Rick Glenn nearly two years ago. The 33-year-old has a lot of lost time to make up for but putting together memorable stoppages like this one will certainly help. Look for Tucker to squeeze in another fight by the end of the year.
