Greg Hardy and Juan Adams faced each other in a Heavyweight clash tonight (Sat., July 20, 2019) inside AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, only on ESPN.
Hardy opened the bout with a couple decent jabs and looked for a left hook. Adams dove into a takedown, but Hardy used a whizzer to briefly force Adams to his back. As Adams worked back up into a single-leg takedown from his knees, Hardy threw dozens of punches to the side of his head. It wasn’t clear whether or not Adams was knocked out, but he stayed in the exact same position and absorbed way too many unanswered shots.
The referee was forced to intervene, resulting in an odd (but fair?) ending to the bout, as well as the biggest win of Hardy’s career.
Result: Greg Hardy defeats Juan Adams via first-round knockout
