Knockout! Watch Dan Hooker destroy James Vick in the first round at UFC San Antonio

New, comments

Dan Hooker returned to the UFC lightweight win column earlier tonight (Sat., July 20, 2019) at UFC on ESPN 4 live on ESPN from inside AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, when he put a brutal stop to veteran James Vick via first-round KO (punches).

Hooker started to land early as Vick responded with long counters. During an exchange midway through the first round “Hangman” caught Vick with a vicious left hook. Vick fell to the canvas and Hooker pounced on top for brutal ground-and-pound before the referee stepped in.

With this performance, Hooker locks down one of the best finishes of his UFC career and regains most of the momentum he lost in a savage defeat to Edson Barboza seven months ago. “Hangman” remains one of the most promising up-and-coming talents at 155 pounds and continues to prove that he has top 10 worth moving forward.
