Tony Ferguson may be scheduled to return from his absence to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC 238 next month in Chicago, Illinois, but “El Cucuy” is still dedicating his time to Team Khabib.

Earlier tonight, Ferguson took aim at Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, in a Twitter rant for the ages. Ferguson, who has not competed inside of the Octagon since defeating Anthony Pettis via TKO back at UFC 229, was reacting to Abdelaziz’s post from a few days ago in which the manager equated “El Cucuy” to a clown.

Ferguson obviously took offense to the post and responded by not only warning Ali to keep his name out of his mouth, but also hinted at a future meeting with the famed MMA manager.

Check out Ferguson’s post below:

“Ain’t No Clowning Around You Fake F—k @AliAbdelaziz00. You Better Leave My Name Out Of Your Mouth Before I Mop The Mat With Your Sorry Ass. You Ain’t S—t W/ Out Your Homeboys Ya Snitch. No Pride, No Guts, Just Like Your Paper Chump @TeamKhabib See You In Person Soon,” wrote Ferguson.

Abdelaziz, who is never one to bite his tongue, was quick to respond to Ferguson’s rant and reminded the winner of 11-straight that he’s fighting “Cowboy” on the “under card” at UFC 238.

“You fighting on the under card June 8 Focus on that and shut your mouth Talk is Cheap next time you see me do Something about it punk boy,” wrote Abdelaziz.

Remember, Ferguson and Khabib were scheduled to fight four different times in the past but unforeseen injuries and botched weight cuts ultimately prohibited the two elite lightweights from ever fighting. Despite never actually stepping inside of the cage with one another, “El Cucuy” and “Eagle” share one of the biggest rivalries in UFC today, and it continues to carry on.

While it is unofficial at this time, the winner of Ferguson vs. Cerrone is expected to fight the winner of Khabib vs. Dustin Poirier, which is likely to go down this September at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi.

UFC 238 is scheduled to take place on June 8 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois. and feature a main event clash between current UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo and top bantamweight contender Marlon Moraes for the vacant 135-pound title.
