Stipe Miocic: ‘Idiot’ Daniel Cormier is like a hungry woman who can’t make up her mind

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, gets annoyed by people who can’t make up their minds, especially if those same indecisive people are trying to decide on where to eat dinner. Let’s just hope he stays away from Cheesecake Factory, because that menu is like 18 pages long.

So you can imagine his disdain for a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter like Daniel Cormier, who kept waffling on whether or not Miocic deserved a shot at the division title. After “DC” finished the full-time firefighter at UFC 226, the promotion tentatively scheduled his first title defense against the returning Brock Lesnar.

A decision made by all parties involved, according to these comments by Cormier.

“I have no idea what he was talking about ‘we had a company conversation,’ I had no idea about the Brock thing until literally right before I walked out for the fight so he’s an idiot,” Miocic told Ariel Helwani. “One minute he says I’m deserving and ‘If I don’t fight Brock, he’ll get the fight,’ and then he’s like ‘No, you gotta work your way up like everyone else. He’s like a woman when they want to go out to eat dinner but they have no idea what they want to go eat but they say they want to go eat somewhere but they change their mind. It’s just never-ending.”

If he thought UFC 226 was a “shit show,” he should see what Olive Garden looks like on a Saturday night in my neck of the woods. It’s amazing what free breadsticks and bottomless salad bowls will do to a person’s dignity in this country.

After coughing up his title in last July’s headliner, Miocic refused to fight unless it was a rematch against Cormier, probably based on his record-setting reign as heavyweight champion. But “DC” argued their fight wasn’t hard and they made no money, so bringing in Lesnar was a more lucrative option for both the Olympian and the promotion.

Then UFC got into bed with ESPN+ and Lesnar walked, making the last year a complete waste of time (no disrespect to Derrick Lewis). Regardless, Miocic is getting the do-over he wanted in the UFC 241 main event this August in Anaheim.

Now we, as fans, just have to make up our minds on that ESPN+ subscription.
