Game of Thrones-The Bells

The episode opens with Varys attempting to poison Daenerys, failing, and being executed. Before he dies, he tells Jon his concerns regarding her reign, and how he doesn't know how her coin will fall. He wishes to be wrong.

With the armies grouped outside the walls of King's Landing, Daenerys hides in the sun to destroy the Iron Fleet before blowing through the wall from the inside. The bulk of the Golden Company go down immediately, with the rest being mopped up by the invading army.

Drogon destroys the scorpions by evading their shots and attacking while they reload, while Jon leads the ground attack. He meets the Lannister forces inside, who surrender after a brief standoff. The city bells signal the surrender, but Daenerys continues the attack, knowing her only hope is to rule through fear. She torches everything, soldiers and civilians alike as Jon watches in horror on the ground and leads him troops away from the battle.

Qyburn insists Cersei end the defense, but the queen is in deep denial. He eventually gets her to agree to fall back into Maegor's holdfast. Meanwhile, the Hound and Arya have reached the Red Keep. He tells her to leave so she doesn't end up like him.

Jaime, entering the city via Davos' old smuggling route, meets Euron on the shore. The two fight, with Jaime taking two stab wounds before burying his sword in the Greyjoy's gut. Euron's last words are a declaration of him being the man to kill Jaime.

The Hound intercepts Cersei and the Kingsguard, dispatching the lesser guardsmen with ease. The Mountain, ignoring Qyburn's commands to protect the queen and killing him for it, advances on his brother. Cersei escapes as the two fight. The Hound takes little damage to start, but is disarmed and beaten to a pulp. After repeated stabs do nothing to slow his brother, including a dagger through the eye, he tackles him out of the tower, killing them both.

Beneath King's Landing, Cersei finds Jaime. She tells him how she doesn't want to die, and he reassures her that nothing matters except them as they are crushed by the collapsing city.

Arya attempts to make it out of the city alive, trying and failing to lead innocents to safety. Battered and bloody, she manages to find a pale horse and make it out alive.

Honestly, the only issue I had with this episode was Cersei and Jaime's end. I know others will have a ton of problems, because that seems to be all there is anymore. It kind of bums me out if I'm being honest. So have at it everyone.
