Report: Conor McGregor lawsuit dropped following Miami cell phone rampage

You know those old “get out of jail free” cards that used to come with the Monopoly game?

Wealthy trouble makers like former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, have lots of them at their disposal. They’re called “personal checks” and they come in handy in times of crisis.

Just ask this security guard, who had a very “Notorious” Christmas.

As the headline would suggest, McGregor has once again avoided a civil lawsuit following a South Florida cell phone rampage back in March. The power-punching Irishman was arrested on charges of felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

The alleged victim, 22-year-old Ahmed Abdirzak, is now dropping his case, according to TMZ.

That’s not to suggest McGregor is free and clear of his legal problems, despite settling last year’s Brooklyn bus attack. “Notorious” is still under investigation for alleged sexual assault and compounding matters are new charges stemming from an unverified bar fight in Dublin.

The sooner the no-longer suspended McGregor can get himself off the streets and into a fight camp, the better for him, his family, and his entire UFC fan base.
