What ever happened to ZUFFA Boxing? Dana White explains...

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, just can’t take “no” for an answer. Sure, his reality show featuring up-and-coming pugilists was shit-canned after just one episode, but he won’t let that be a deterrent to creating a brand-new promotion.

Like ZUFFA Boxing!

While White appeared to be aggressively pursuing new talent in the “sweet science” when he announced his new endeavor back in late 2017, not much has been heard on the boxing front in the months and years that followed.

“A lot of things didn’t line up the way that I thought they would in the boxing world, when I said we’re about to make a ballsy move,” White recently told UFC Unfiltered. “The thing kind of took a left turn, so I wasn’t able to make an offer on that deal yet. But when that deal does happen, and when it comes, I’m going to jump in.”

“I am making all my boxing moves after this summer,” White said during a recent interview with CNN Sport. “When this summer is over, you’ll be hearing a lot about what I’m doing in the sport of boxing.”

White was reportedly chasing heavyweight phenom Anthony Joshua, to the tune of $500 million across multiple fights, but conveniently denied the pursuit after the power-punching Brit took his services elsewhere.

With Joshua, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder all locked up with rival promoters, it’s hard to know what White has in mind for those aforementioned “moves.”

Time will tell.
