Bellator 220: Jon Fitch doesn’t care about Firas Zahabi’s PED plaint because he’s not a loser

Jon Fitch doesn’t give a rat’s ass what Firas Zahabi thinks.

Having already faced off against one another when Fitch fought Georges St-Pierre at UFC 87 over a decade ago, Zahabi will once again oppose the Octagon export while cornering Rory MacDonald at Bellator 220 this weekend in San Jose.

“In my opinion, let’s be honest, he’s a cheater,” Zahabi told DAZN. “We’re not a group of guys playing golf here, we’re not playing soccer. We’re hitting each other. We’re not hitting soccer balls, we’re not hitting baseballs, we’re hitting each other. It’s highly immoral, it’s a crime in my opinion, and the truth is, he’s not as good as people think he is. He’s really just a cheater.”

Fitch was popped for testosterone after flunking his pre-fight test for World Series of Fighting (WSOF) back in late 2014. Zahabi believes he’s still on the gear, which explains why the 41 year-old wrestler is the winner of five straight.

“I don’t care,” Fitch told The MMA Hour. “I don’t live my life caring what other people say or think. If you’re going to go through your life worrying about other people and what they think, you’re going to be a loser. He’s already creating an excuse for his fighter losing. I don’t know, I don’t really care.”

Despite losing to middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi last September, MacDonald (20-5) remains the Bellator welterweight champion and will defend that title against Fitch (32-7-1, 1 NC) this weekend on DAZN (details here).
