Beneil Dariush cashed in on his main card bid earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 9, 2019) at UFC on ESPN+ 4 from inside the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas, when he submitted streaking lightweight Drew Dober via second-round submission (armbar).
Dariush did not have a good go early on. Dober blasted him with countless combinations to the head including digging hooks to the body. Dariush seemed to lose control and Dober pulled ahead on the judges’ scorecards. That was until the second round when Dariush caught Dober sleeping on the ground. A quick transition and Dober’s arm was Dariush’s for the taking.

With this performance, Dariush locks down his second-straight win having defeated Thiago Moises back in November. The former top 10 lightweight has fallen far at 155 pounds, but Dariush is still young enough (29 years of age) and skilled enough to fight his way back to contention. This finish was the perfect start.
