Colby Covington: Kamaru Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, threatened to ‘track me down and shoot me’ after UFC 235

Have you ever noticed that every street fight or casino altercation that goes down these days (like this one), longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) manager, Ali Abdelaziz, just happens to be right smack dab in the middle of all the action?

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

That’s why I wasn’t terrible surprised to see Abdelaziz mixed up with Colby Covington, who ran into newly-crowned UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, in one of the nearby casinos following “The Nigerian Nightmare’s” big win at UFC 235.

But it seems things escalated rather quickly (watch the video here).

“You know what else he told me Ariel? He told me he’s gonna track me down, he’s gonna shoot me and kill me,” Covington told The Ariel Helwani MMA Show about Abdelaziz. “I didn’t even throw a punch this weekend and I stole all the headlines.”

Covington was awarded the next crack at the 170-pound crown after Usman dominated Tyron Woodley to usurp the welterweight throne (watch it). These two have a considerable beef dating back to their contender days and will no doubt have plenty of trash to talk leading up to their eventual showdown.

When and where that takes place, remains to be seen.
