UFC 235: Cody Garbrandt blames head butt for wild brawl, is still better than average Twitter schmoe

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, got knocked out by Pedro Munhoz at the UFC 235 pay-per-view (PPV) event last Sat. night (March 2, 2019) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Or as “No Love” put it, “Didn’t go my way tonight.”

The big talk coming out of his “Young Punisher” loss, aside from the fact that he’s now gone down in flames in three straight fights, is how Garbrandt completely abandoned his gameplan and started throwing wild bombs in the waning second of the opening frame.

JUST BE YOURSELF.

“I got head butted and after the head butt I was on auto pilot,” Garbrandt wrote on social media. “Congrats to Pedro he stuck tough. I love this fight game. I’ll be back, thank you to all my supporters. Means a lot!”

And he’s still gone farther than your average Twitter schmoe.

One thing fighters love is getting tagged on Twitter after a knockout loss.

Garbrandt (11-3) is still just 27 years old and assuming he doesn’t get his cranium cracked with another errant head butt, can easily bounce back and put together a run at the 135-pound title.

Petr Yan or Jimmie Rivera seems like a good place to start.
