Video: Colby Covington breaks up Dana White’s blackjack game to demand title shot

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington, has finally done something worth paying attention to, after the promotion took away his 170-pound title shot late last year.

“Chaos,” who got bumped for Kamaru Usman at this weekend’s UFC 235 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, flew to “Sin City” to demand answers from promotion president, Dana White, and the easiest place to find “Uncle Fester” is at the card table.

He is, after all, the Undisputed Blackjack Champion.

Covington (14-1) earned the next shot at welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, by capturing six straight wins, including back-to-back victories over Demian Maia and Rafael dos Anjos. The promotion quickly booked him for “The Chosen One” just three months after disposing of the latter, but “Chaos” turned it down, citing health issues.

That was all it took for UFC to move on. While it’s never a good move to turn down a title fight, I think White and Co. were sick of his WWE-style antics, which included a run-in with Fabricio Werdum during the now-infamous Boomerang incident.

Where he goes from here, remains to be seen.
