UFC 234 ‘Embedded’ video, Ep. 5: ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Spider-Man’ get chummy for a selfie

It all goes down tomorrow night (Sat., Feb. 9, 2019) at UFC 234 live on pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia, as UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker puts his title on the line on home soil against surging contender and former Ultimate Fighter winner Kelvin Gastelum.

In addition to the 185-pound main event, former UFC middleweight king Anderson Silva will test his aging luck against rising undefeated youngster Israel Adesanya. It could very well mark a passing of the torch in the middleweight division and cement “Last Stylebender” as the next best thing in combat sports.

In preparation for UFC 234, the promotion has released the latest and greatest episode of “Embedded,” which can be seen above in its entirety. This time around, the cameras follow some of the card’s biggest stars as they run through media days and open workouts for fans, as well as a friendly selfie involving Silva and Adesanya.

From the official YouTube description:

On Episode 5 of UFC 234 Embedded, middleweight Israel Adesanya outlines his plans to beat Anderson Silva and capture the belt, then stops to greet his opponent in the hotel common area. At Ultimate Media Day, light heavyweight opponents Jimmy Crute and Sam Alvey again come face to face, and flyweights Montana De La Rosa and Nadia Kassem square off. Outdoor open workouts draw fans to watch the event’s stars, including title challenger Kelvin Gastelum and homegrown middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. UFC 234 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the world middleweight title fight taking place Saturday, February 9th on Pay-Per-View.
