Knockout! Watch Luke Sanders smash Renan Barao via second-round TKO at UFC on ESPN 1

Luke Sanders captured the biggest win of his MMA career earlier tonight (Sun., Feb. 17, 2019) at UFC on ESPN 1 from inside Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, when he put a stop to former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao via second-round TKO (punches).

Sanders had to adjust in between rounds as Barao won the first on the back of heavy body kicks and distance control. But in the second, Sanders came forward and started to put together solid combinations on the feet. He ended up catching Barao with a power left hand that put the Brazilian on his back. Sanders quickly followed through with three devastating right hands from top position before Barao’s lights turned out and the referee stepped in for the stoppage.

With this performance, Sanders gets back in the 135-pound win column after getting submitted by a Rani Yahya heel hook back in August. The Nashville native is much better than what his 3-3 UFC record would lead you to believe and he’ll look to springboard off this massive TKO win over a former champion to make 2019 a year to remember.
