UFC 238 pay-per-view (PPV) event booked to go down inside United Center in Chicago on June 8

It doesn’t seem that long ago that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) staged UFC 225 from inside the United Center in Chicago, Illinois featuring a Middleweight title fight between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero (see it).

That event — which also featured an interim Welterweight title fight between Colby Covington and Rafael dos Anjos — took place last June, and the promotion already has plans to return this summer. Indeed, the Endeavor-owned fight company has booked UFC 238 to take place on June 8, 2019.

UFC seems to be very fond of “The Windy City,” already hosting several events there including big fights such as the aforementioned Romero vs Whittaker, TJ Dillashaw vs Renan Barao at UFC on FOX 16, Holly Holm vs Valentina Shevchenko at UFC on FOX 20 and many more.

While it’s still pretty early to start booking fights, you can bet there will be several combatants eager to get in the mix, including several members of the famed Roufusport gym in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is a short drive to the house that Jordan built.

That said, could that signal the potential return of a certain “Punk?”
