Bellator 214 update - ‘Fedor vs Bader’ tops out at 1.5 million viewers

Bellator 214 “Fedor vs. Bader” happened January 26, 2019 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Thanks to a well timed lead left hook, Ryan Bader destroyed Fedor Emelianenko and became a simultaneous two weight class Bellator MMA champion in the process.

The “early ratings” from Paramount Network suggested that 1.2 million people tuned in for a fight which only lasted 35 seconds. Now that DVR +3 has been factored in, that number has grown to 1.5 million. Bellator’s updated information included these new bullet points.

  • “Fedor vs. Bader” was the most watched event and highest rated with men 18-49 (0.83) since January 20, 2018.
  • Bellator 214 was the highest-rated Bellator event with adults 18-49 (0.6) since March 31, 2017.
  • ”Fedor vs. Bader” was the second most-streamed Bellator event ever and the most-streamed Bellator preliminary card ever.

The latest update also increased the average viewership from the previous 697,000 to a new mark of 784,000 for the almost three hour broadcast, while both the Jake Hager debut and Henry Corrales knockout of Aaron Pico rose to 1,000,000.
