Thanks to the “Bare Bones” video feature we did with Alberto Del Rio and Tito Ortiz (watch it here), who will headline the Combate Americas pay-per-view (PPV) event this weekend in Hidalgo, Texas, their catchweight grudge match now has political implications.
That’s because Ortiz is a staunch Trump supporter and will be campaigning for re-election on the back of his fight shorts on Sat. night (Dec. 7) in “The Lone Star State.” Considering all that talk about building walls at the Texas border, it’s no surprise Del Rio — known as the “Pride of Mexico” — is triggered by anything Trump related.
The former World Wresting Entertainment (WWE) champion used some of those pro wrestling moves to punish a local TV host who opted to tease Del Rio during their segment. As you might expect, the tiny troll was tapping to the camel clutch in record time.
