We are just hours away from the final UFC event of the year as UFC Fight Night 165 unfolds tomorrow morning (Sat., Dec. 21, 2019) live on ESPN+ from inside Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea. “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung will look to grab his second-straight win at 145 pounds when he takes on former UFC lightweight titleholder and perennial featherweight contender Frankie Edgar in the headlining act.
While UFC Busan doesn’t sport the most well-rounded fight card of 2019 it’s not that bad considering the promotion just gifted fight fans UFC 245 — which featured three title fights — just one week ago. Outside of the main event clash between “Korean Zombie” and “The Answer,” UFC Busan will also feature prominent Octagon names like Volkan Oezdemir, Aleksandar Rakic, Doo Ho Choi, Ciryl Gane, Matt Schnell, Da Un Jung, and Said Nurmagomedov.
In preparation for the early-morning action, UFC has compiled the best finishes from UFC Busan’s finest (which can be seen in the above video player). Whether it’s Rakic’s blistering head-kick knockout over Jimi Manuwa back in June, Edgar’s last-second submission win over Cub Swanson, Oezdemir’s dominant stoppage over Ilir Latifi, or Korean Zombie’s recent 58-second TKO finish over Renato Moicano, the action is simply unforgettable.
Fight fans are hoping to wake up early tomorrow morning and witness some comparable carnage at UFC Busan. At least the main event between Edgar and Jung should produce everlasting fireworks.
