Bellator 239: “Ruth vs. Amosov” takes place February 21, 2020 at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma. The main card will air on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET, with preliminary action on DAZN and the Bellator mobile app at a time to be determined.

The main event will see former Welterweight Grand Prix competitor Ed Ruth (8-1) look to extend his win streak to three against the unbeaten Yaroslav Amosov (22-0). The three time NCAA division I champion has developed into a fearsome finisher in MMA, finishing 75% of his wins (six of eight) by knockout.

Finishing Amosov will not be an easy task. “Dynamo” is a versatile fighter with a record of eight knockouts, 10 submissions and four decisions in his seven year career. In the mythical rankings to face Welterweight champion Douglas Lima (32-7), Amosov stands near the top of the ladder following an impressive finish of David Rickels at Bellator 225.

While these two Welterweights will battle it out for contender’s rights, Brandon Girtz (16-8) and Myles Jury (17-5) will fight for relevance in the Lightweight division. Jury had a disappointing Bellator debut against Benson Henderson, while Girtz has either lost four of his last six bouts or won two of his last three, depending on what way you slice it.

No other fights have been announced for the card at this early date.
