Before UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usmam laid waste to Colby Covington via fifth-round TKO (highlights HERE) last night (Sat., Dec. 14, 2019) at UFC 245 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the main event grudge match was awfully close entering the final five minutes of action. In fact, leading into the fifth round one judge had it 3-1 for Covington, one judge had it 3-1 for Usman, and the other had it locked up at 2-2. That meant that whichever fighter won the fifth round would walk away with the UFC welterweight title. Luckily for Usman, Covington couldn't go the distance.
