Oh yeah, Amanda Nunes is fighting at UFC 245 so let’s watch her headkick KO Holly Holm again

We’re into the second UFC-less weekend in a row and I have no idea what to do with myself on the weekends now that the promotion isn’t monopolizing my weekends. I guess the only answer (or at least the answer the UFC is hoping we pick) is to hype up the next big event: UFC 245 on December 14th.

This bad boy features three, count ‘em, three UFC title fights and I think maybe the hype for Max Holloway and hate for Colby Covington is once again overshadowing Amanda Nunes, widely regarded as the female GOAT of mixed martial arts.

Nunes will be facing Germaine de Randamie in a women’s bantamweight title fight. On paper de Randamie is a solid contender - 5 wins in a row, won the inaugural women’s featherweight title in a fight against Holly Holm.

But lest we forget, she was then stripped of that belt for refusing to face Cris Cyborg. She returned a year and a half later to win a lackluster decision over Raquel Pennington and then she knocked out a severely dehydrated Aspenn Ladd.

Meh. Meh we say.

But Amanda Nunes? She’s the opposite of meh. Let’s all remember that by watching her beat Holly Holm, not with the help of late punches after the bell or a gift decision but with a brutal head kick knockout ... the same weapon Holm used to take out Ronda Rousey!

There’s a certain poetic beauty to the whole thing, and if this can’t get you excited to see Nunes compete again we don’t know what will. So enjoy the free fight video, and enjoy Amanda Nunes on December 15th at UFC 245.
