Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, may not get the respect he deserves from some members of the mixed martial arts (MMA) community, but that’s probably because they don’t realize “The Count” had the balls to fight 185-pound killers like Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold, and Dan Henderson with only one eye.
Heck, I have two eyes and I’m lucky if I can keep myself from spraying the back of the toilet seat, so the Brit gets a bow and tip of the hat from me.
Bisping was kind enough to yank out his prosthetic eye, which from what I understand covers up his existing (and non-functioning) eye, and show it to his “Believe You Me” podcast host Luis J. Gomez, who had the sort of reaction you might expect under those conditions.
“The Count” has long blamed Vitor Belfort for leaving him “permanently disfigured” after suffering a head kick from “The Phenom” during the days of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), which transformed the Brazilian into one of the most “spectacular” strikers in the sport.
Either that, or Bisping is just an arrogant Englishman full of excuses.
