Jonathan Pearce and Joe Lauzon faced each other in a Lightweight clash tonight (Fri., Oct. 18, 2019) at UFC on ESPN 6, which took place inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Lauzon pressured early and absorbed a cross. Moments later, the two were trading, and Lauzon landed a hard right hook. Lauzon countered a low kick with a heavy cross and followed it up with a second. After rocking his foe, Lauzon dropped down into a body lock and secured a takedown. Pearce tried to buck his way into top position but gave up his back, getting trapped in a really terrible position. Pearce’s arm was trapped behind his head, allowing Lauzon to brutally pound him out and force the finish (watch it).
Result: Joe Lauzon defeats Jonathan Pearce via technical knockout at 1:33 of round one
